On June 19 we will be hosting The Juneteenth Artstravaganza to celebrate the freedom of all North Americans. Our freedom extends beyond the fact that slavery is no longer tolerated as an economic means for a country's prosperity. Our freedom is intellectual and creative. It exists on the basis that as long as we show sincere respect for one another, no one need feel alienated or oppressed. Although Juneteenth is an American holiday, these values form the core of Canadian society.
